Trees

1. How can scientists tell the age of a tree by looking at the rings? Explain what that means.

2. How/why would this be useful?

3. Is this an example of relative or absolute dating?

4. Provide a picture or a tree ring sample.

Answer

1.Scientist can tell how old a tree is by looking at tree ring because the amount of rings means how old the tree is.

2.This can be useful by telling what is the oldest tree meaning that the earth was their saying that the tree is old.

The order from oldest to youngest is D,A,E,B,C. It is in this order because D is the first layer. Second is A then E then is the uncomformity. Then it is because it is the layer on top but C is the youngest because it gos strait past D,AE,B.

Which do you think is potentially more dangerous: earthquakes or volcanoes? Why? Find an example of a specific earthquake or volcano and tell its story. Please include a picture.
Answer:What I think is the most dangerous really depends on what type of volcano it is and how powerful the earthquake is. These factors are important because the more powerful the earthquake is the more people die and the more powerful the volcano is the more people die. It also depends on what type of volcano is it shield, cinder, or composite.

1. How deep is the deepest mine in the world?
The deepest mine in the world is at Africa and it is 3.6 kil..

2. How deep would you have to dig to reach the mantle?
You would have to dig 6728 to get to the mantle.

3. Let's pretend that you and your friends tried to dig a hole in your backyard to find a shortcut to China. The thing is, you guys had special suits that could withstand extreme temperatures, so you would not die. If you were somehow able to reach the mantle, what would it look like? What kinds of things would you see? How about the outer core? Inner core? What would it look like as you approached the surface (the crust) on the other side?

It looked like orange jucie but with clusters of silver spheres. The outer core was easier to get there scince it was a liquid and the inner core was

What I Exept To Get IN Class

The grade i expect to get in this class is a B or higher. I expect this grade because i really havent been turning in my work. I have just finished all my blogs and I find this very disaponting to me. A B is a what I expect to get and it isnt the best thing but i will be ok.

If your parents had to buy a new 2009 or 2010 model car, and they wanted your advice, which car would you recommend? What criteria would you use? Please be realistic and consider whichever factors you feel are important.
I would recommend the 2009 Mustang Because it dose not cost that much and it has great MPG. The Mustang looks great and it is a wounderful car. The criteria that I would use is Green.

Deffernt types of rocks

igneous rock named andesite this rock composed mainly of plagioclase with other minerals such as hornblende, pyroxene and biotite.

This ignouse rock name is Obsidian a dark-colored volcanic glass that forms from the very rapid cooling of molten rock material. It cools so rapidly that crystals do not form.

This metamorphic rocks name is Morbal. This rock is mostly used to me by seeing art.

Amphibolite

This is a non-foliated metamorphic rock that forms through recrystallization under conditions of high viscosity and directed pressure.

This sedimatary rocks name is iron ore. They formed from chemical reactions that combined iron and oxygen in marine and fresh waters.

This sedimentary rocks name is coal. Organic sedimentary rock that forms mainly from plant debris. The plant debris usually accumulates in a swamp environment.
